End Of Term Reflections

End of Term Reflections

Solomon - This week we watched the show and I liked it because it was funny at the end.
Zac - This week we enjoyed doing our doodle art on the keeping box. I enjoyed the "Phone A Friend" production when they called Denise, Dennis.
Jordy - I enjoyed visiting the Art Expo  and seeing lots of creative art.
Xanthia - I enjoyed "Phone A Friend"because it means when we get older we know not to text mean stuff to other people.
Arman - We enjoyed looking at the Art Expo which was only to look, not touch.
Eli - The show was funny when Winstone went off the stage and tilted over the little kids.
Emily - I liked the show with the big phone.
Paige - I like "Phone A Friend" when Winstone's parents kept singing to make him feel happy, and it made him feel worse.
Kyle - I loved "Phone A Friend" because the big phone was very funny and I wondered where he got it from.
Megan - I loved the part when the newsman was talking about a bad storm in the middle of nowhere and he said, "Ha ha".
Maddy - I enjoyed our 50 word Spelling test because I got 50/50, because I kept practising.
Cassidy - I liked the "Phone A Friend" when he dumped his phone in the middle of nowhere and a big storm came.
Broc - I loved "Phone A Friend because I liked it when he sat in the front row and the big phone was blocking the little kids.
Reegan - I loved the Book Fair because there was lots of stuff to look at and it had a book that I am reading - "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid - Cabin Fever".
Breanna  - I loved "Phone A Friend" because they put pictures of Winstone's scooter tricks on
Face Book.

Home Learning Challenge Expo

Patiki home learners celebrated their successes today with an expo. The children displayed their different challenges and talked about them and showed  how to make and perform these.
Some of the popular activities were displayed in many ways showing diversity and creativity.
The children would love to share their learning with more visitors next time. There will be another celebration in Term 3. Remember to check for the date in the newsletters.

Ella and Jordy designed KBS flags. Jordy has made a diorama of polar bears.

Arman has painted the solar system and the color wheel with primary, secondary and tertiary colors.

Snow at KBS June 2012

On Wednesday this week it snowed heavily so school was closed for two days. On Friday school was open again. Our playground looked beautiful covered in Autumn leaves and snow.
Our Reflections on the snow at KBS
Reegan - I liked snowmen because if you have hot hands you can cool them down.

Makayla
 - I liked it in the snow because we made a snowman and snow cones.

Ella - Our class made a snowman. It was wearing my scarf.
Hayden - I liked the snow because I like throwing snow at my friends.
Grayson - I like the snow because you can make snow and snowballs.
Cassidy - S24 made a snowman out by Papa.
Zac - We were rolling up the snow and it made
our hands freeze. It was heavy to lift.
Kyle - It was hard work building the snowman
because it was hard rolling the snowball and
lifting it up. It took teamwork .
Xanthia - It was very, very hard work because
 it made our backs hurt.
Emily - After morning tea we went out to Papa to make a snowman. Our teacher took a photo of us all.
Jordy - S24 found making a snowman was difficult because we had to roll a big ball and it got heavier and heavier.
Megan - It was fun making the snowman because it was my first time making one.

Eli - I made a mini snowman that is the snowman's son.

We wonder if he will still be there on Monday.
